To additionally import from a digital source (and have the video encoding done by hardware instead of software), you need to spend more and purchase the DVC 150. ![]() Save these changes and double-click the installer to begin the install. Check the box which says 'Run this program as administrator' at the bottom. It imports video from an analog source (camcorder, VCR, DVD or TV). Click the box that says 'Run this program in Compatibility mode for.' and also select Windows 7 from the drop down menu. I'm at a loss, I have no idea what the problem may be, and so far I haven't found anything out there that sufficiently describes my problem. The Dazzle DVC 90 is a USB 2.0 Video capture device. ![]() I've also tried capturing from my webcam just to see if I can capture, but VLC hangs and I have to kill it. After some random Windows update my Dazzle DVC100 now refuses work properly as this video shows: Tried via VLC, Virtualdub, OBS and even another Win10 laptop, behavior is identical, works via Linux. I believe video1 must be the DVC-100, but I can get no picture on screen from it, nor capture anything to file. video0 is apparently my webcam, as my own pretty face shows up when I try to stream from that device. There I have two choices for video devices, /dev/video0 og /dev/video1. However, I seem unable to get it working. Some way down the road I've switched to Linux Mint 17, and according to different forums, it should be possible to capture video in Linux from the DVC-100, using VLC. However, my hard drive broke down, and I lost some of the videos. Back in 2012, I bought Pinnacle studio and the Dazzle DVC-100 video capture unit to achieve this. This is the original software distributed with the v1 Dazzle DVC External USB video capture device. Dazzle Digital Video Creator 90 (DVC 90) is the ultimate video connector for camcorders. I've been working to digitalize some old family vids on VHS.
